TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A tropical wave will continue to produce cloudiness, showers thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles, during the forecast period.

.....Tropical Storm Bret a little stronger.....
 

At 5:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Bret was located near Latitude 12.8 degrees north, Longitude 51.4 degrees west or about 605 miles or 974 kilometers east of St Lucia. Bret is moving toward the west near 16 mph or 26 km/h and this motion is expected to continue for the next several days. On the forecast track, the center of Bret is expected move across portions of the Lesser Antilles Thursday afternoon and Thursday night, and then move across the eastern Caribbean Sea on Friday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph or 95 km/h, with higher gusts. Some additional increase in strength is possible before Bret reaches the caribbean sea. Interests in the Lesser Antilles should monitor the progress of this system.

Another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 13 mph or 20 km/h. This system has a high chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next couple of days.
