TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

The Atlantic High Pressure System will continue to generate moderate easterly winds across the Eastern Caribbean region over the next few days.

A large plume of Saharan dust will continue to cause a reduction in air quality and visibility across the region during the next few days.

Moisture and instability associated with the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to cause some cloudy periods with showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly over the southern portion of the region during the forecast period.

A tropical wave located in the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. This wave has a medium chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next 7 days.

Another tropical wave located just off the west coast of Africa is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This wave has a medium chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next 7 days.
