TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Weak unstable conditions across the region will continue to cause occasional cloudiness with showers over the Lesser Antilles during the forecast period.

At 11:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm Sean was located near latitude 14.6 degrees north, longitude 41.7 degrees west. Sean is moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph or 19 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Sean is forecast to weaken to a low-pressure area later this weekend.  

A tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This system has a high chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next 7 days. Interests in the Lesser Antilles should continue to monitor the progress of this system.
