TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
The Atlantic High-Pressure System will maintain light to moderate easterly winds across the Lesser Antilles during the forecast period.
A plume of Saharan dust haze is expected to reduce visibility and air quality over the Lesser Antilles during the next 24 hours.
A weak tropical wave in the vicinity of the Lesser Antilles is expected to cause occasional cloudiness with some scattered showers over portions of the region during the forecast period.
Another tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This wave is likely to encounter a large area of environmental dry air and development is not expected. The wave is expected to affect the region tomorrow.
A third tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is expected to interact with an area of low pressure. Environmental conditions are forecast to be more conducive for development by mid-week, and a tropical depression will likely form during the latter half of this week while the system moves westward to west-northwestward across the central tropical Atlantic.
