TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
A weak shear line will cause some showers over the southern part of the region during the forecast period.
A plume of Saharan dust haze is expected to reduce visibility and air quality over the Lesser Antilles during the next few days.
A tropical wave located midway between the Lesser Antilles and the west coast of Africa have become a little better organized. Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for further development during the next day or so and a Tropical Depression will likely form while the system moves west to west-northwest across the central Atlantic. Beginning on Friday upper-level winds are likely to become too strong for development as the system approaches the Lesser Antilles.
Another tropical wave located a few hundred miles south of Cabo Verde islands is producing disorganized activity. Conditions are forecast to be gradually conducive for some development and a tropical Depression could form late this week or this weekend while it moves west to west-northwest across the central Atlantic.
Interests in Saint Lucia and the rest of the region should closely monitor these systems.
