TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Moisture and instability associated with a low level trough and frontal system region will continue to cause some showery periods and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the islands during the next 24 hours.
At 11:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Sebastien was located near latitude 25.2 North, longitude 55.3 West, or about 695 miles or 1120 kilometres north northeast of the northern Leeward Islands. Sebastien is moving toward the east-northeast near 15 mph or 24 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are down to 50 mph or 85 km/h with higher gusts. Weakening is expected to continue and Sebastien is forecast to dissipate by early next week.
A tropical wave located several hundred miles east of the Eastern Caribbean is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This system is expected to bring some showers and possibly thunderstorms to the islands from late Saturday into Sunday.
Two other tropical waves located over the central and eastern tropical Atlantic are both moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.
