FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy skies with a few scattered showers at first becoming increasingly cloudy with moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A strong tropical wave coupled with a broad area of low pressure is expected to cause cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Eastern Caribbean region during the next couple of days. Environmental conditions remain favorable for development and a tropical depression or tropical storm is likely to form during the next day or two as the system moves west-northwestward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.

Interests in the Lesser Antilles should closely monitor the progress of this system.

Another tropical wave located over the far eastern tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.
