A broad area of low pressure identified as potential tropical cyclone nine is expected to cause cloudiness, showers and thunderstorms over the Eastern Caribbean region during the next 24 hours. Environmental conditions remain favorable for development and a tropical storm is likely to form tonight or Wednesday as the system moves west-northwestward near 23 mph or 37 km/h.

Interests in the Lesser Antilles should closely monitor the progress of this system.

Another tropical wave located over the far eastern tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.
