TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

An upper level trough system will cause occasional cloudiness, scattered showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over our region, during the next 24 hours.

A tropical wave located about 480 miles east of the Windward Islands is associated with a broad area of low pressure. This system is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. The system has a low chance of tropical cyclone formation, as upper-level conditions become increasingly unfavorable for development. The system is expected to affect our region as a strong tropical wave from late Wednesday into Thursday.

Another tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.

A third tropical wave, just coming off the west African coast is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.
