TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

An upper level trough system together with an approaching tropical wave, will cause occasional cloudiness, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over our region, during the next 24 to 48 hours.

As mentioned above, a tropical wave located about 400 miles east of the Windward Islands is associated with a broad area of low pressure. This system is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. The system has a low chance of tropical cyclone formation, as upper-level conditions become increasingly unfavorable for development. The system is expected to affect our region as a strong tropical wave from late Wednesday into Thursday.

Another tropical wave located over the Central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

A third tropical wave, just off the west African coast is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.
