TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

An upper level jet stream continues to cause cloudiness with a few scattered showers over the northern half of the Eastern Caribbean region during the forecast period.

A weak tropical wave will cause cloudiness and a few scattered showers over the extreme southern portion of our region during the next 24 hours.

Saharan dust haze will maintain a reduction in visibility and air quality across the Eastern Caribbean region for the next few days.

Two other tropical waves located over the central and far Eastern Tropical Atlantic are moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the Tropical Atlantic during the next five days.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the South-Eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
