FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy and hazy, occasionally becoming cloudy with some scattered showers over the northern Leeward Islands. Further south it will be partly cloudy and hazy with a few scattered showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

An upper level trough will cause cloudiness with some scattered showers over the extreme northern portion of our region during the forecast period.

The Atlantic High Pressure System will generate moderate easterly winds across the Eastern Caribbean region during the next few days. Low level cloud patches drifting along this wind flow will cause a few scattered showers over the remainder of the region during the next 24 hours.

Saharan dust haze will continue to reduce visibility and air quality across the Eastern Caribbean region during the next few days.

Two tropical waves located over the central and far Eastern Tropical Atlantic are both moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the Tropical Atlantic during the next five days.
