FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy and hazy, becoming cloudy at times with a few scattered showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK 

Low level clouds drifting along a moderate to brisk east-northeasterly wind flow, will cause some showers over the Lesser Antilles, during the next 24 hours.

Saharan dust haze will continue to obscure visibility and reduce air quality across the Eastern Caribbean region, during the next few days.

A tropical wave located about 900 miles or about 1448 kilometres east of the Windward Islands, is producing disorganised showers and thunderstorm activity.  This system has a slight chance of development as it moves westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h, over the next couple of days.

Two other tropical waves located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic and just off the West African coast, are moving westward near 8 and 15 mph or 13 and 24 km/h, respectively.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the South-Eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
