FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy to cloudy at times with scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms over the extreme southern Windward Islands and areas further south. Elsewhere, fair to partly cloudy and hazy with a few brief showers.  

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK 

Moisture and instability over extreme southern portion of the Lesser Antilles will continue to cause cloudiness, showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over that area during the next 24 hours.

A weak tropical wave located over the western tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/m. This wave is expected to affect mainly the southern half of the region from late tomorrow into Monday.

Another tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

A third tropical wave located over the eastern tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. This system has a low chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next five days.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the South-Eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
