FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms over the extreme southern Windward Islands and areas further south. Elsewhere fair to partly cloudy skies with a few showers.  

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK 

Lingering moisture and instability in the wake f a tropical wave will continue to cause cloudiness, showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over extreme southern portion of the Lesser Antilles during the next 12 hours.

Patches of low-level cloud drifting along an easterly wind flow will cause a few brief showers over the remainder of our region during the forecast period.

Another tropical wave located over the western Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/m. This wave is expected to affect our region on Monday.

A third tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

A fourth tropical wave located over the far eastern tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. This system has a low chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next five days.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the South-Eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
