FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Cloudy to overcast skies with moderate to heavy showers, brisk winds and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability ahead of an approaching tropical wave, together with a low pressure centre will cause cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles, from late tonight into tomorrow. This system is about 650 miles east of the Lesser Antilles and is moving westward near 23 mph or 37 km/h. Some slow development of this disturbance is possible later this week and this weekend.

A second tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 20 mph or 31 km/h. Additional slow development of this system is possible during the next several days.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the South-Eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
