TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave, together with a low pressure centre will cause cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles. This system is a few hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles and is moving westward near 23 mph or 37 km/h. Some slow development of this disturbance is possible later this week.
A second tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 20 mph or 31 km/h. This system is expected to produce heavy showers and thunderstorms over the Windward Islands, from Thursday night into Friday. Environmental conditions appear favorable for development. There is a medium chance that this system may be at least a tropical depression by the time it gets to the islands.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the South-Eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
