FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Generally cloudy and hazy with some scattered light to moderate showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the southern Windward Islands and Trinidad and Tobago. Elsewhere, partly cloudy, hazy and windy, occasionally becoming cloudy with a few showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability in the wake of a tropical wave will continue to produce occasional cloudiness, scattered showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the extreme southern portion of the region today.

A plume of Saharan dust haze trailing this tropical wave will cause a reduction in visibility and air quality over our region for the next few days.

The Atlantic High Pressure System will generate brisk winds and rough seas around the Eastern Caribbean region for the next couple of days.

Two other tropical waves located over the central and eastern Tropical Atlantic are moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the Tropical Atlantic during the next 5 days.
