FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with some scattered showers and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability trailing a tropical wave will continue to cause cloudy conditions, with showers and isolated thunderstorms over our region, during the afternoon and early evening. Conditions are expected to improve overnight.

An area of low pressure located several hundred miles east of the Windward Islands, is moving toward the west-northwest near 15 mph or 24 km/h. Conditions are favourable for some gradual development and this system may become a tropical depression within the next few days. It is forecast to reach the Windward Islands late tomorrow, Monday. Interests around the Eastern Caribbean islands are advised to closely monitor the progress of this system.

A tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This system has a forty (40) per cent chance of developing into tropical cyclone during the next five days.

Another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is also moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.
