FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Over the northern Windwards and Leeward Islands, skies will be cloudy to overcast with moderate to heavy showers, gusty winds and thunderstorms. Elsewhere, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a few scattered showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A low pressure system located about 180 miles east of the Windward Islands is moving toward the west-northwest at about 13 mph or 20 km/h. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for additional development and a tropical depression could form later today or tonight.  The disturbance is forecast to reach portions of the Lesser Antilles by late tonight. Interests around the Eastern Caribbean islands are advised to closely monitor the progress of this system.

A second low pressure system is located several hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles and is moving westward near 10 mph or 17 km/h. Development of this system is becoming less likely during the next few days.

Two tropical waves located over the central and eastern Tropical Atlantic are moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.
