TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Instability resulting from a mid-level trough system together with light winds, will generate occasional cloudiness, showers and a slight chance of localized thunderstorms over portions of our region during the next 24 hours.

A tropical wave with an associated low is located less than 1000 miles east- southeast of the northern Leeward Islands. The system has become better organised and environmental conditions are expected to remain conducive for further development. A tropical depression is likely to form later today or tomorrow as the system moves west-northwest near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This system is forecast to begin affecting the region from early Monday.

Another tropical wave located over the far eastern tropical Atlantic, has a low chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next five days, as it moves westward near 8 mph or 13 km/h.
