TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
At 11:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Peter was located near latitude 19.9 north, longitude 64.7 west or about 155 miles or 255 kilometres northwest of the northern Leeward Islands. Peter is moving toward the west northwest near 9 mph or 15 km/h. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 40 mph or 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast over the next several days. Peter is expected to weaken to a tropical depression by tonight. Peter poses no direct threat to the Eastern Caribbean region.

At 11:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Rose was located near latitude 21.6 north, longitude 36.9 west. Rose is moving toward the northwest near 12 mph or 19 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Rose could decay into a tropical depression this evening. Rose is expected to remain over the open Atlantic.

A strong tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. This system has a high chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next five days.
