TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Saharan dust haze will continue to cause a reduction to air quality and visibility across the region during the forecast period.

An approaching, newly analyzed tropical wave east of the Lesser Antilles, is being further enhanced by a lingering upper level trough system.  As a result, elevated moisture levels and instability will cause increased periods of cloudiness, scattered showers and thunderstorms over the Eastern Caribbean region, during the next 24 to 48 hours.

Another tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 20 mph or 31 km/h.
