FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Fair to partly cloudy with a few showers over the Leeward to central Windward Islands. Further south, partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moist and unstable conditions over the south-eastern Caribbean region, will continue to generate cloudiness with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, over the southern Windward Islands and areas further south during the forecast period.

A tropical wave located a few hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This wave is expected to produce cloudy to overcast skies, heavy showers and thunderstorms mainly over the southern half of the Lesser Antilles from late Wednesday or early Thursday into the weekend. The system has a low chance of tropical cyclone development as it approaches the region.

Another tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. Further development of this wave is no longer expected during the next five days.

A third tropical wave is forecast to move off the west coast of Africa in a couple of days. Some slow development of this system is expected while it moves westward over the tropical Atlantic during the next five days.
