FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Fair to cloudy at times with a few scattered showers, which maybe heavy in some locations and isolated thunderstorm.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A relatively drier and more stable atmosphere is expected during the next 24 hours as a weak ridge builds across the Lesser Antilles.

An approaching tropical wave located a few hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This wave will produce an increase in cloudiness and showers during the next couple of days.

A broad area of low pressure associated with another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. This system has a high chance of tropical cyclone development within the next five days.

Hurricane Earl continues to move slowly northward away from our region. Maximum sustained winds are about 85 mph or 140 km/h, with higher gusts. Hurricane Earl poses no direct threat to our region.
