Partly cloudy to cloudy at times with widely scattered showers, which may be heavy in some locations, and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability lingering over the Eastern Caribbean region, will cause occasional cloudiness, showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles during the next 24 hours.

A weak tropical wave located over the western tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 10 mph or 17 km/h.

A broad area of low pressure associated with another tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h. This system has a high chance of tropical cyclone development during the next five days.

A third tropical wave is forecast to emerge off the west coast of Africa this morning. Some gradual development of this system is possible during the next five days, while it moves generally westward across the eastern tropical Atlantic.

Hurricane Earl continues to move slowly northward and away from our region. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 105 mph or 165 km/h, with higher gusts and Earl is expected to become a major hurricane later today. Hurricane Earl poses no direct threat to our region.
