FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES
Fair to partly cloudy skies with a few showers over the Leeward Islands. Further south, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered showers, which will be heavy in some locations and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
A strong tropical wave located just to the east of the Windward Islands has a high chance of tropical cyclone formation. This system is likely to become a tropical depression within the next two or three days. This wave is expected to cause cloudiness, moderate to heavy showers, gusty winds and thunderstorms over the southern portion of our region from later today into tomorrow.

Fiona becomes a category 4 hurricane while moving away from the Turks and Caicos Islands. At 2:00 am today, the centre of Hurricane Fiona was located near latitude 23.4 North, longitude 71.8 West or 105 miles or 170 kilometres north of North Caicos Island.

At 3:00 am today, Tropical Storm Gaston was located near latitude 36.2 North longitude 43.6 West or about 920 miles or 1485 kilometres west of the Azores.
Tropical Storm Gaston does not pose a direct threat to Saint Lucia and the Lesser Antilles.
