FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Mostly cloudy and hazy with scattered showers, which may be heavy in some locations, and isolated thunderstorms over the Windward Islands and areas further south. Further north, partly cloudy and hazy, becoming cloudy at times with scattered showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability associated with an upper-level trough will maintain cloudiness and shower activity over most of the Lesser Antilles during the next 24 hours. The Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone remains active over the extreme southern portion of the region and will continue to produce showers and isolated thunderstorms over that area during the forecast period.

An approaching tropical wave will cause showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles from late tonight into tomorrow.

Saharan dust haze will cause a reduction in visibility and air quality across the region during the next few days.

Another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the Tropical Atlantic during the next 5 days.
