Weak unstable conditions will continue to cause cloudiness and some showers mainly over the northern Windward Islands today. Relatively dry and stable conditions will prevail elsewhere.

…Cindy continues to weaken as it moves northwestward…

At 11:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm Cindy was located near latitude 20.9 degrees north, longitude 58.0 degrees west. Cindy is moving toward the northwest near 17 mph or 28 km/h, and this motion is expected to continue with a gradual decrease in forward speed, over the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 45 mph or 75 km/h, with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast during the next 24 to 36 hours, and Cindy could degenerate into a trough of low pressure by Monday night.

A tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.
