FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Over the Leeward Islands, fair to partly cloudy and hazy, with a few brief showers. Further south, partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy and hazy, with scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

An upper-level trough will continue to cause some cloudy periods, scattered showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms to develop mainly over the southern half of the region during the next 24 hours.

Saharan dust haze will cause a reduction in air quality and visibility across the Eastern Caribbean region during the forecast period.

A tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This wave is expected to affect our region from late Saturday into Sunday.

Another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is also moving westward near 9 mph or 15 km/h.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the Tropical Atlantic during the next seven (7) days.
