FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Fair to partly cloudy and hazy, with a few showers over the Leeward Islands. Over the Windward Islands and areas further south, partly cloudy and hazy, becoming cloudy at times with some scattered showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A tropical wave located over the western Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 21 mph or 33 km/h. Moist and unstable conditions ahead of this tropical wave, will cause some cloudy periods with showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the southern half of the Lesser Antilles during the forecast period.

A large plume of Saharan dust will continue to cause a reduction in air quality and visibility across the region during the next few days.

Another tropical wave located over the far eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This wave has a low chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next 7 days.
