TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
A light and variable wind regime is expected across the Lesser Antilles during the next few days.
Moisture and instability associated with an area of low pressure located just east of the Leeward Islands, will continue to cause occasional cloudiness and showers over the northern half of the Lesser Antilles during the next 24 hours.
At 11:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Franklin was located near latitude 22.2 North, Longitude 69.9 west or over southern Bahamas. Franklin is moving toward the northeast near 7 mph or 11 km/h. Franklin does not pose a threat to the Lesser Antilles. A low pressure system associated with a tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This system has a medium chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next seven days.
