TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Light and variable winds will continue across the Lesser Antilles during the next few days.
Moisture and instability associated with an area of low pressure located just east of the Lesser Antilles, will continue to cause occasional cloudiness with showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the central Windward Islands during the next 24 hours.
At 5:00 pm today, the centre of Tropical Storm Franklin was located near latitude 22.4 North, Longitude 68.9 west or about 155 miles or 250 kilometres east of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Franklin is moving toward the east-northeast near 8 mph or 13 km/h and does not pose a threat to the Lesser Antilles.
A low pressure system associated with a tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic, is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h. This system has a medium chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next seven days.
