FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES
Fair to partly cloudy skies with a few scattered showers over the Leeward and northern Windward Islands. Further south, partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with some scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
The Atlantic High-Pressure System will continue to generate light to moderate easterly winds across the region during the next few days.

The Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone will continue to affect the southern portion of the region during the forecast period.

At 5:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Lee was located near latitude 13.7 North, longitude 44.6 West or about 1265 miles or 2040 kilometres east southeast of the northern Leeward Islands. Lee is moving toward the west-northwest near 14 mph or 22 km/h, and this motion is expected to continue for the next few days. Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph or 100 km/h, with higher gusts. Lee is forecast to become a hurricane later today and a major hurricane in a couple of days. Interests in the Leeward Islands should monitor the progress of this system.

A strong tropical wave located over the far eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 9 mph or 15 km/h. This system has a medium chance of tropical cyclone formation during the next seven days.
