Light and variable winds will continue across the Lesser Antilles over the next few days.  Moisture and instability associated with Hurricane Lee may cause some cloudy periods with scattered showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over the Leeward and northern Windward Islands during the next 24 hours.

At 11:00 am today, the eye of Hurricane Lee was located near latitude 18.2 North, longitude 54.5 West or about 565 miles or 910 kilometres east of the northern Leeward Islands. Lee is moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph or 20 km/h, and this motion is expected to continue for the next several days with a significant decrease in its forward speed. Maximum sustained winds are near 155 mph or 250 km/h, with higher gusts. Swells generated by Lee are expected to reach portions of the Lesser Antilles today. Interests in the northern Leeward Islands should continue to monitor the progress of Lee.
