TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability associated with Tropical Storm Philippe, will continue to cause cloudiness with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the northern Leeward Islands during the forecast period.

A tropical wave located a few hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles is expected to affect the region from tonight into tomorrow.

Another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 23 mph or 37 km/h.

At 11:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm Philippe was located near latitude 21.2 degrees North, longitude 65.7 degrees West or about 200 miles or 320 kilometers north-northwest of St. Thomas. Philippe is moving toward the north-northwest near 7 mph or 11 km/h and away from our region.
