Seas: Today, slight with waves 2 to 4 feet or 0.6 to 1.2 metres.  Tonight into tomorrow, moderate to locally rough with waves 6 to 8 feet or 1.8 to 2.4 metres, mainly on the northern and eastern coast.

Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution from tonight due to locally rough seas.

FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy to cloudy, with scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A mid to upper-level trough will continue to cause some cloudy periods with scattered showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over parts of the Lesser Antilles, during the forecast period.

At 11:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm Tammy was located near latitude 13.6 degrees North, longitude 55.7 degrees West or about 425 miles or 680 kilometers east-southeast of Guadeloupe. Tammy is moving toward the west-northwest near 15 mph or 24 km/h. A turn toward the northwest is forecast on Friday and this motion should continue into the weekend.  On the forecast track, the center of Tammy will move near or over the Leeward Islands Friday and Saturday. Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph or 95 km/h, with higher gusts. Gradual strengthening is expected during the next few days, and Tammy is forecast to be at or near hurricane intensity when it moves near the Leeward Islands.  

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Guadeloupe. Tropical Storm Watches have been issued for Barbados, Dominica, Martinique, Guadeloupe and the Leeward Islands. Interests in the region are advised to monitor the progress of this system.
