FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES
Over the northern Leeward Islands, generally cloudy with scattered showers, which may be heavy in some locations and isolated thunderstorms. Further south, partly cloudy to cloudy and hazy, with some scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Rain bands associated with Hurricane Tammy will continue to cause cloudiness, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the northern Leeward Islands, during the forecast period.

Moist and unstable conditions in the atmosphere will cause occasional cloudiness, scattered showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms, over the central and southern portions of the region during the next 24 hours.

At 5:00 am today, the center of Hurricane Tammy was located near latitude 21.4 degrees north, longitude 64.0 degrees west. Tammy is moving toward the north near 10 mph or 17 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 80 mph or 130 km/h, with higher gusts. Swells generated by Tammy will continue to affect portions of the Leeward Islands during the next two days.

A surface trough located over the western tropical Atlantic is moving slowly westward. This system is expected to affect our region on Tuesday.
