TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

A surface trough will continue to cause occasional cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles during the forecast period.

Another surface trough located over the central Tropical Atlantic is slowly moving westward.

At 11:00 am today, the center of Hurricane Tammy was located near latitude 26.6 degrees north, longitude 59.3 degrees west or about 515 miles or 825 kilometers southeast of Bermuda. Tammy is moving toward the northeast near 13 mph or 20 km/h. Maximum sustained winds are near 105 mph or 165 km/h, with higher gusts. Swells generated by Tammy will continue to affect portions of the Leeward and Virgin Islands during the next couple of days.
