Shower activity associated with the passage of a tropical wave will continue to produce periods of cloudiness, scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms over the southern portion of the region and gradually spread northward over the rest of the islands as the day progresses. The tropical wave is moving quickly westward near 20 mph or 31 km/h.
An area of low pressure located over the central Tropical Atlantic, is producing disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity. Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development, and this system is could become a tropical depression during the next day or two while it moves westward to
west-northwestward near 20 mph or 31 km/h, across the central tropical Atlantic. However, conditions are forecast to become less conducive by this weekend, potentially ending its chances for development.
