TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
The Atlantic High-pressure system will maintain light to moderate easterly winds across the Lesser Antilles, during the forecast period.
Patches of low-level clouds enhanced by an upper-level trough system will cause some scattered showers over the region during the next 24 hours.
A tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This wave is expected to affect our region from Saturday into Sunday.
At 11:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Gonzalo was located near latitude 15.1 North, longitude 22.7 West. Gonzalo is moving toward the north-northwest near 10 mph or 17 km/h and a gradual weakening trend is forecast to begin tonight and continue through this weekend. Based on current forecast tracks, Gonzalo is not expected to pose a threat to our region.
