TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
An approaching tropical wave is currently affecting the Lesser Antilles. It is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. Some enhancement by an upper-level trough system, will generate some periods of cloudiness, scattered showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms across parts of the region during the next 24 hours.
At 5:00 pm today, the centre of Tropical Storm Gonzalo was located near latitude 15.2 North, longitude 22.7 West. Gonzalo is moving toward the north near 12 mph or 19 km/h and a gradual weakening trend is forecast to begin tonight and continue through this weekend. Based on current forecast tracks, Gonzalo is not expected to pose a threat to our region.
