FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Generally cloudy skies with scattered showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms, over the southern Windward Islands and areas further south. Elsewhere, fair to occasionally cloudy skies with a few showers.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK 

Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave, just east of the islands, will cause an increase in cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms over the southern portion of the Lesser Antilles, during the next 24 hours. This wave is expected to move west-northwest near 8 mph or 13 km/h. Further development of this system is unlikely as it moves into an area of unfavourable conditions.

Two other tropical waves located over the central and eastern Tropical Atlantic are moving westward near 8 and 12 mph.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the South-Eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
