FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Partly cloudy to cloudy at times with scattered light to moderate showers and isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK 

A tropical wave located a few miles east of the region, will generate occasional cloudiness, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles, during the next 24 to 36 hours. This wave is moving westward near 8 mph or 13 km/h and is expected to affect the region from early tomorrow onwards. Further development of this system is unlikely at this time.

Two other tropical waves located over the central Tropical Atlantic are moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.

A strong tropical wave, just off the coast of Africa, is moving westward near 8 mph or 13 km/h. Some development of this system is expected during the next five days and could develop into a tropical depression by early next week.

The alert level at the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent remains at Orange. Interests in Saint Lucia and the South-Eastern Caribbean region are advised to continue monitoring official sources for updates.
