TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture in the wake of a tropical wave, is expected to produce showers and isolated thunderstorms over the region during the forecast period.

An area of low pressure, located about 850 miles or 1360 Kilometres east of the Lesser Antilles is moving westward near 20 mph or 31 km/h. This system has a high chance of tropical cyclone development over the next day or two, and it is expected to start affecting portions of the Leeward Islands by late Saturday. Interests in the Lesser Antilles should continue to monitor the progress of this system.

A third tropical wave located over the far eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.
