TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

Moisture and instability in the wake of a tropical wave, will continue to produce cloudiness, showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the region during the forecast period.

At 5:00 pm today, Tropical depression Seven was located at 15.4 North 51.8 W or about 675 miles or 1085 Km east of the Leeward Islands. The maximum sustained winds were near 35 mph or 55 km/h. This system is moving westward at about 22 mph or 35 km/h. Some strengthening of this system is forecast during the next few days. Tropical storm watches have been issued for the Leeward Islands. Interests in the Lesser Antilles should continue to monitor the progress of this system.

A third tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.
