TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Tropical Storm Grace will continue to produce cloudiness, showers and thunder-storms over the Eastern Caribbean Islands tonight into tomorrow.
At 5:00 pm today, the center of Tropical Storm Grace was located near latitude 19.9 north, longitude 60.7 west or about 55 miles or 85 kilometres east-southeast of Guadeloupe. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Grace is moving westward at about 26 mph or 43 km/h. On this forecast track, the center of the storm is forecast to move over the Leeward Islands tonight. A motion toward the west-northwest with a gradual decrease in forward speed is expected during the next several days. Some strengthening is forecast during the next day or so. Tropical storm warnings have been issued for Leeward Islands, British Virgin Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Tropical storm watches have been issued for portions of the Dominican Republic.
