TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Moisture and instability associated with Tropical Storm Grace will continue to produce cloudiness, showers and thunderstorms over the Eastern Caribbean Islands today.
At 5:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Grace was located near latitude 16.9 north, longitude 64.4 west or about 60 miles or 100 kilometres south southeast of St Croix. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Grace is moving toward the west northwest at about 16 mph or 26 km/h. Some strengthening is forecast before Grace reaches Hispaniola on Monday.
A tropical wave located over the central Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 23 mph or 37 km/h.
Another tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 17 mph or 28 km/h.
