TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
Moisture and instability trailing Tropical Storm Grace, will continue to produce cloudiness, showers and thunderstorms over the Eastern Caribbean Islands today. A gradual drying up of the atmosphere is expected from tonight onwards.
At 11:00 am today, the centre of Tropical Storm Grace was located near latitude 17.2 north, longitude 66.0 west or about 85 miles or 135 kilometres south of San Juan Puerto Rico. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph or 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Grace is moving toward the west-northwest at about 16 mph or 26 km/h. Some strengthening is forecast before Grace moves over Hispaniola on Monday.
A tropical wave located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.
