FORECAST FOR THE LESSER ANTILLES

Fair to partly cloudy skies with a few scattered showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK  

A weak pressure gradient over our region, will generate a light wind regime causing localized showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms over some of the islands during the forecast period.

Two tropical waves located over the central and far eastern Tropical Atlantic are moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h and 17 mph or 28 km/h respectively. 

Hurricane Larry remains over open waters and continues to moving away from the Lesser Antilles. Larry is currently a category 3 hurricane with maximum sustain winds of 120 mph or 195 km/h. Although Hurricane Larry does not pose a direct threat to our region, above normal sea swells generated by this system is expected to continue affecting the Lesser Antilles today.
